Eclectic Candle Stick Holders

Create one of a kind, eclectic candle stick holders using these simple tips.

Directions

1. Follow the instructions on how to add fuel to the Bernzomatic Detail Torch ST2200T with the butane cylinder.
2. Use the flame to torch the candle stick holders. The fine tune precision flame on this torch is great for working on smaller projects just like this one. It also has three interchangeable settings: fine soldering, hot air blower and pinpoint flame.
   
3. Apply water-based paint on the candle stick holder. Please make sure to use WATER based paints as you don't want to have any fire accidents. The photo above shows the process. You can use any color paint. Used here is a rose metallic acrylic paint.
4. After your paint has completely dried, torch it again. This last step allows you to see more of the defined torched grains and creates a nice contrast with the paint.
   
5. Style the mantel or table with coordinating colors.
